Summer AR Changes

The High School AR policy is changing a bit next year, and some of those changes deal with summer reading.  Here is the new policy:

Summer Points

We understand that students are involved in many extracurricular activities and would like to reward those students who take care of their reading early.  For that reason, we have summer reading points.

• A student may earn up to two six weeks worth of points through summer reading. 
• 20 points earned (with an average % passing of 85) = one six weeks grade (any six weeks in the first semester)
• 40 points earned (with an average % passing of 85) = two six weeks grades (one in the first semester, and one in the second)
• Any summer points earned below 20 will apply to the point goal for the first six weeks
